James L. Berkon
Twenty-four year old James Berkon is achieving his Masters in Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Eastern Ohio. By the end of January of 2007 he hopes to have compiled his first major work on this much debated issue of "Secondary Virginity" which is titled Made New.
This work deals with many of the issues young women are facing who have been in sexually active relationships but have been left unsatisfied. The biggest issue women deal with after sleeping with however many men is that she has crossed a point of no return. That she may as well give up being something special for married life. But this could not be further from the truth. Every woman who longs for love deserves it no matter where she has been or what she has done.
This concept of a "Secondary Virginity" has been given a bad rap or not explained well enough in the past. Therefore even if a girl thinks of herself as a "Secondary Virgin" and feels some sense of pride, there is also an even deeper sense of loss. But this no longer needs to be the case. "Secondary Virginity" is not a label or a place of Second Class Citizenship. It is a gift that will allow you as a woman to reclaim what you have lost so that you may be that bride radiant with innocence for the man you have desired within the depths of your heart. All you need to do is reach out for it.
Whether you are married, single, in high school, college, or graduate school, or in a dating or engaged relationship I invite you to read this text and find out what you can become. It is never too late to start over, and more importantly it is never too late to regain who you are so it may be given to the man who deserves it the most, your future husband.
